Hatfield is a town in Herefordshire with a population of around 29,000. It used to be a major aerospace centre for British Aerospace but after the factory was closed in 1993. Hatfield was designated a new town after the second world war along with Stevenage, Welwyn Garden City and Letchworth. There is an excellent selection of houses and flats to let in Hatfield.
The town has a long and distinguished history and is the home of the historical Hatfield House, where it is said that Elizabeth the First learned that she had become Queen of England. The beautiful surrounding park hosts regular craft events and major pop concerts.
Hatfield's popular Galleria Outlet Shopping centre is located close to the town centre is one of the premier outlet centres within the UK. In addition to the shops, the centre boasts a multi-screen cinema. HAtfield has excellent transport links. The railway station is located about a 10 minute walk to the east of the town centre, close to the Old Town. Trains run into London Kings Cross in approximately 20 minutes. Hatfield is well served by the A1(M) motorway and Greater London is within a 10 minute drive.
